A Happy Birthday

Well, my baby is 1! I can't believe it. The year (and the past 2 and 1/2 since we had Shelby) have FLOWN by. I often say that I can't remember what life was like before the girls (but I'm sure I had a lot more free time). We celebrated Sarah's big day last Saturday with a small family party and both Sarah and Shelby had a great time. Big sis who kept telling us it was HER "happy birthday" got to open up her sister's gifts, share in the eating of the birthday cake, and blow out the candle. She was a big help! :-) Sarah and I went for her 1 year check-up today for shots (ouch!) and to learn that her ear and eye infection from 2 weeks ago are not quite gone so another round of eye drops (fun) and antibiotics are in order. Hopefully this will do it.

I am really going to make an effort to keep up on this whole blog thing this time. The process of uploading pics is more user friendly than it used to be, but it still takes forever because of smelly old dial up internet service. That is life for now, however because we live in the sticks and I refuse to pay what satelite internet wants for service out here.

Anyway, I need to sleep because I have 22 first graders with a mean case of spring fever (their teacher has it too, I think) to deal with tomorrow, but only 13 more school days until SUMMER!
