Shelby found one of Nate's safety helmets that he and the guys wear when doing tree work on their way home from the sitter on Friday. It has been in the house and gotten lots of wear this weekend. A few weeks ago, out of nowhere Shebly informed me that when she gets big like us (Nate and I) she wants to cut down trees for her job. My response: Great sweetie, but that's a hard job. Nate's response: Okay, but are you sure you don't want to be a doctor or a lawyer? He has an obsession with someone in our family ending up in the law or medical field. He usually tells me I should get working on that, but now I think he realizes that I won't be changing careers anytime soon so he needs to start working on the girls.
Other than making career choices, the girls aren't up to much that's new lately. Sarah is still talking up a storm and learning new words daily. My favorite right now is "Wake up Belby (Shelby)!" That is, if she wakes up first in the morning or at nap time. Shelby is still having some attitude issues. She is also into playing games. She got Chutes and Ladders and Candy Land for her birthday and we have been playing one or the other almost daily. My parents say those gifts were payback for my making them play Candy Land to the point of making them want to jump out a window.
Have a great week!
